TenderRest · A new project by Pulvis Art Urns

A new way to remember.
A story rooted in craftsmanship.

TenderRest is created by Pulvis Art Urns, the Bulgarian makers of handmade memorials since 2017. It brings our experience in ceramic art into a new, deeply personal tribute to the pets who share our lives.

Behind every astronaut is the same belief that started Pulvis: a memorial should hold meaning as well as ashes.

TenderRest

A new chapter by Pulvis Art Urns

TenderRest brings this experience into a new project dedicated to customisable pet memorials. An astronaut figure, colours chosen by you, a hand-painted portrait from your photos and a personal inscription turn an imaginative design into a tribute to one irreplaceable companion.

The craft behind every new idea

TenderRest is a new project made possible by the people, skills and processes of Pulvis Art Urns. Here is a closer look at the workshop behind our memorials.

Across the Pulvis collection, a ceramic piece can pass through up to ten handcrafted stages. Modelling, casting, finishing, glazing and hand-painting bring together artistic judgement and technical precision.

Design studies for a Pulvis memorial urn

From a drawing to a form

Pulvis designs begin with sketches and sculptural studies, bringing artistic ideas together with the practical demands of ceramic production.

Hands sculpting a ceramic model in the Pulvis workshop

Shaped by skilled hands

Models are developed and refined before moulds are made. Liquid ceramic is cast, and components are carefully removed, assembled and finished by hand.

Knowledge passed through generations

Traditional skills—including sculpting, carving and wheel work across the Pulvis collection—remain part of the workshop’s shared knowledge.

Colour, applied with care

Glazes, pigments and decorative techniques give each design its character. TenderRest builds on this experience with hand-painted pet portraits and personal details.

A kiln firing ceramic memorials at the Pulvis factory

Transformed by fire

Pulvis ceramics undergo two firings, with temperatures reaching up to 1,200°C. The kiln transforms the clay and reveals the finished glaze.

Checked before the journey

Finished pieces are assessed for both technical quality and appearance. Packaging is selected to suit the individual form and protect it on its journey.
